All cookie cutters by Shape It Cookie Co. are 3D printed with food safe biodegradable PLA.
We use a turquoise PLA for our cutters to match our brand colors. They are made with thick, strong walls for long-term durability. They also come with a stepped edge to make a clean, crisp cut in your dough.
WASHING YOUR CUTTERS
Cookie cutters are HAND WASH ONLY in cold water due to the nature of PLA.
Do not use hot water to wash, nor place them in the dishwasher. They are not dishwasher safe. Putting the cutters in a dishwasher could melt, warp or otherwise damage the PLA.
Do not use them to cut hot cookie dough. Avoid washing in hot water, soaking, prolonged exposure to moisture, and direct sunlight. Any contact with heat will melt your cookie cutter.
STORING YOUR CUTTERS
PLA cookie cutter can be damaged if not stored properly. Be sure to store in a dry environment without any heavy items on top of the cutters.
WE CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT
PLA plastic is a vegetable-based plastic material, which commonly uses cornstarch as a raw material. It is biodegradable and earth friendly!
We can proudly say our cutters are 100% made in the USA.
All cookie cutters have a thick, double edge for sharp and precise dough cutting.
Our cookie cutters are measured at their longest point. This means that if you purchase a 3.5 inches long cookie cutter, we will find the longest side of the image you provide and resize it to 3.5 inches when designing the cookie cutter. Some irregular shapes may appear smaller than others.
The easiest way to prevent cookie cutters from sticking to your dough is by dipping your cookie cutter in flour with each cut. You may use corn starch if cutting into fondant.
When cutting, wiggle your cutter for best results.
If you find the cookie cutter is getting really sticky, wipe it off with a damp paper towel or clean baking towel. Don’t wash them in the middle of cutting out cookies, unless dried dough begins to distort the cookie details.
Cold cookie dough will always work best.
